How do I activate voice input in the app?
With Dimlit open, tap the microphone button or use the double-tap shortcut you set up. Background listening is off by default.

Start listening
Tap the microphone button at the bottom of the screen. Tap it again, or pause for a moment, to finish.
Use a shortcut
In Settings > Voice, you can set a double-tap shortcut that starts listening from any screen in the app.
Background listening
Background listening is off by default. You can turn it on in the same settings screen.
